My Story
Ade Villatoro born in Guatemala and raised in Rockford, Il began learning about environmental issues in high School. This took her to become passionate about our earth and get a minor in Sustainable Design aside of her Architecture BA.
After seeing how much waste there was in working with high class people she decided to go on a journey of finding her own path.
It’s really crazy how God moves. Everyone always saw her as unstable because she could “never keep” a job but in reality she was always listening to what else needed to be accomplished. Now we can look back at all the odd end jobs and see how God was carefully weaving everything together.
Every single job that she has had is coming together to make an appearance in what she was called to do- EARTH.
Our vision is to see our community grow into an earth-conscious, plastic-free, and zero-waste city.
Our Philosophy
Earth is a zero-waste store bringing environmental awareness to our community but more importantly, introducing a solution to the tons of wasteful products being thrown away every minute overwhelming our ecosystems and slowing down the reproduction of nature.
We will reduce the excess amounts of plastic ending up in our oceans and landfills by providing a location where clients are able to refill everyday products such as food, beauty, and cleaning products.
The earth is suffocating with all the plastic and one-time-use items we throw away and it's time to change that!
Our Promise
We want to make sure that the every product we sell are products fully researched and bought carefully from companies with moral backgrounds.
We don't want to take lightly buying in bulk from just any company so we are reading through every single company that sell the products we are looking for and selecting only companies that offer said values.
Our overall goal is to honor God with what has been given to us so we can in turn pay respect to the earth we were given by taking care of it.
